YAY!!! The long awaited FF13 collaboration event has arrived! I don’t remember much about FF13 or its storyline, but I do remember enjoying the game and that Lightning’s theme (Blinded by Light) is one of my all time favorite game songs. I really enjoy listening to all of the different variations of this theme song as I play through the new collaboration maps.

It looks like Mobius has already added the Lighting Ultimate Hero skin to the summoning pool. We’re getting the skin so much sooner than when Japan got it. I wonder how this will affect game balance… Either way, I hope I pull it 🙏 😛 🙏

I was aiming for the skills Serah (brave up, faith up, and ultimate gauge up support card) and Snow (high attack multistrike monk water card) and was able to pull them both due to the box type pulls.

I also pulled the Hope legendary job and am not sure how I feel about him yet. When I switched jobs from Strategist to Hope, I noticed a significant decrease in MATK (probably because of the custom skill card buffs). It does, however, look like Hope has a huge Light attack+ modifier and a ton of HP so the MATK might even out. I’m contemplating moving over all of the Magic+ 8% cards over to Hope if it makes a sizeable difference. So expensive though… almost 100k skillseeds just to install each card! I’ll wait on it for now.

I quickly tested the Hope job out in the Chaos Vortex and see if he or the strategist is better with Minwu. For now it looks like Hope definitely is the winner for light attacks – the Strategist needs more buffs in order to have comparable Light firepower.

Unfortunately, I also noticed that  Hope does not have a rainbow ultimate 🙁 boo! I still have my eyes set out for Snow the legendary job – did somebody say uber defender!? We’ll see if I get lucky 😛
